Dennis' new design site is up and running.
It's live, but not complete. It will take some time, but when I find the time I will finish out the site. However, once the blog and portfolio sections are setup, those will be updated regularly. Visit Dennis Hughett's site here.

What is Shadow Life?
Shadow Life was a band at one time, but has evolved into a publishing company and currently includes zaodust on its roster, a solo artist from Atlanta, Georgia. Zaodust writes and records music with additional help from some of his musically-inclined friends, most of which were the former members of Shadow Life when it was officially a band.
The music created by Shadow Life was a melodically original rock-based style of music, yet semi-aggressive at times. David Fingerlos, the former drummer of Shadow Life before they disbanded at the end of 2006, coined the phrase "Neoternative" as a one word description of the sound.
Shadow Life focused on a positive-based approach with music and lyrical content. While positive-based music is something some may consider "happy music," that is not the case with Shadow Life. "It's sharing thoughts and feelings on life's events from an honest point of view." Explains Dennis Hughett, the founder and guitarist of Shadow Life. "The lyrical content takes a more positive outlook on life, but is rooted in truth. While truth can be uplifting and hopeful, it can also be discouraging and painful. This gives a lot of the songs both a light and dark feel to them." Hughett continues, "Truth can have a negative side too. For example, the Shadow Life song 'Payback' focuses on terrorism and the evil that brought about the 9/11 attacks. While some of the songs are not negative lyrically, they can still have a dark feel. "Take You Down", for example, is an aggressive battle cry for athletes toward their competition. Wrestling and football come to mind." Hughett concludes.
In addition, Shadow Life wrote songs about hope, truth and purpose; songs intended to inspire and encourage. it's all about living life to it's fullest and being a part of the larger story going on around us.
Zaodust on the other hand is the synonym adopted by Dennis Hughett as he proceeds with his solo career.
